Hi All,
Just returned from 2 1/2 weeks in France, we took our newly Purchased Mifi Mobile Wifi Gizmo with us which we were assured would work in France, did it Fiddle!!!
Here is one of our Favourite Places in France, the Harbour at Honfleur, just the Place to sit for a Pot of Mussells!!

Here is the Café at Pegasus Bridge, still run by the same Family as had it when it was Liberated as the First building in France liberated on D Day, Mme Gondree was there as a 6 year old on D Day and was there running the show when I took the Pic.

Here is part of the Mulberry Harbour, used after D Day to land Supplies at Arromanches, on Gold Beach, there are many parts still visible.

One of the German Guns in a Battery overlooking the British and Canadian Sector Beaches, I thought the subject suited B&W.

It's impossible not to be moved at a Visit to the American Cemetery at Colleville Sur Mer above Omaha Beach

An American Jeep stands before the Church at Sainte Mere Eglise, those who have seen the Film 'The Longest Day' will recall this Village was a Key D Day target but the Parachutists overshot their Drop Zone and landed in the Village and the Germans were waiting!!! You can see the Model of a Parachutist hanging on the Church Roof as actually happened and was depicted in the Film. John Steele survived the War but died quite early at only 56 of Throat Cancer, there is a Bar on the Square named after him.

This is a Memorial to Major Richard Winters, he was CO of Easy Company of 101st Airborne, the 'Band of Brothers' made famous by the TV Series by Tom Hanks and Stephen Spielberg. Near Utah Beach.
