Of the two I like the 1st for 2 reason. The 1st is that the people are not as prominent in that image as they are in the 2nd image. The 2nd reason is that the land jutting out into the sea gives added interest to the image Nat.

Thanks Tom and Ian. For these pics I was favoured with the "southern" blue skies!!!!!

Deffo the first - Cape Cornwall adds balance to the shot, the rocks give some foreground interest, and the two paths are quite good lead-in lines. Against that, the clouds are better in the second.
Please don't ask about my kit, it's embarrassing!

The rocks in the first add more interest but you need to straighten the horizon - surprised you didn't notice it and sort it as part of the processing as it is quite obvious

Thanks Stan. I thought it looked OK at first and now that you mention it, I believe there is a very slight askew, which I can easily correct.

Re: The Long walk- Lands End, Cornwall

Nat, the first for me too as there is more foreground interest and the people are less intrusive, as others have said. But that said, I would (after straightening) take a sliver off the bottom, say to put the line of rocks edging the road into the bottom left corner. This does a couple of things, it takes the horizon off the centre (thus emphasising the size of the sky) and it reduces the sense of 'blocking' that I get from the combination of rocks and road, and moves the right hand lead in line closer to the observer too.

Agree with the others Nat, nice shot. I've something very similar from time there in the summer. And yes, bright blue skies then too

I didn't notice it in the first shot Nat till Stan pointed it out, but can now ..

You say its leveled ? did you use the sea level as your horizon level as its still looking off to me ?

Ian, yes, I used the sea level. It looks OK to me now esp when you go closer to the image. I also used my digital parallel ruler to check.
