    Tilbury Docks

After seeing such good reviews and images processed using Aurora HDR, I thought I would get it myself and have a play. This is an old shot and a single image, not HDR.

I like the way the setting sun is pushing in from the left to battle with the blue sky elsewhere.. Also some wonderful light hitting the ripples of the mud flats.

I know some don't like wind turbines, but I find them rather calming to look at......just me

One element I have having issues with is noise in the sky. Anyone else out there (Tigger) who might be able to offer advice as to why that is?

I like the shot not sure i can tell you've applied Hdr which might be a good thing but do like industrial type images so works for me.

As for noise i use Hdr Machinery and that also applies a fair bit of noise to the image, usually in the background and sky but only if I'm not careful and start to add too many effects.
I'm sure Ian and others will give you some tips.

Interesting shot with unusual water and lots going on in sky & landscape- so for me the HDR makes it all happen

Thanks Paul. It is a subtle HDR shot and only a single exposure. The beauty of Aurora is its great at full on HDR but also really useful for processing single shots too. Went for the soft look but really picked out some areas to highlight, such as the sky and mud flats.

Well processed and looks quite natural so HRD works well

                Looking good Alan

I'm really enjoy Aurora HDR as it offers way more control over the others - I've found the best way to sort noise is with a layer as the problem is as soon as you start pushing that HDR button you pull noise in - Try using the layer and soften the sky back a tad as that will get rid of any noise your seeing

Cheers for the info mate. Yes that's what I'm doing, just thought there might be a better way that's all. Even using two Denise layers if need be
