    Swanage Old Pier

The old pier at Swanage is an iconic shot done to death by most landscape photographers and I have shot it on many occasions but never quite got the right light

Yesterday I was shooting to get the "milky" water using my variable ND filter and having rotated it to minimum setting to pre focus, I forgot to rotate it back with the result that my shot was nearly 3 stops overexposed and normally just fit for the bin.........but I thought I would see if I could do something with it...worth while or not

It's a nice shot Stan and what a subject to capture. Unfortunately it has suffered from being well over though. Perhaps it needs some more contrast?

whats the red thing on the post?
its a rusted metal plate holding the crossbeam to the upright - there is a similar one at the other end but there you can only see the bolt ends

I thought the first image looked OK but the edit makes a great difference.
