    Out to the Sun

With a break in the hideous grey cold windy weather we seem to be 'enjoying' I grabbed a few hours yesterday afternoon on Canvey Island, Essex. I'd spotted this metal bridge/road structure a few times whilst out working and thought it would make a good subject matter. My intention was viewing from the other way but it didn't make for a good shot. So with the sun in my eyes I thought why not hey.

Rather than use my 16 stop ND I went much shorter using a 10 stop and closing the aperture right down. This is an in camera HDR and unusually I have processed the .jpg it produced rather than using the 3 individual images. Clarity knocked back a little to give a softer look.

    What say you peeps?

(yes I know the sun is blown )

I like the composition but the blown sun does spoil a little

Composition is great, it is a shame about the blown sun though (says he sounding like he knows what he's talking about!!) but overall I like.

Blown Sun Alan - what were you thinking? Seriously though it's an interesting shot. You could tweak the sun back a bit with PP but I like it as it is.

Thanks Stan, Ian, Pat and Tony for commenting.

Yes I know shooting into the sun is a huge no no. But in this instance I'm ok with it.....but then I'm biased of course.
