    Boats by Hampton Court bridge

Rather liked the colours of these boats lined up ready for the holiday season:

3-shot HDR (+/-2 EV) processed in Aurora, tidied up in PSE and noise reduction in DFine. I decided to leave the people on the bridge, should I have?

I like the composition, and for me the people on the bridge aren't an issue.
But the image looks a bit flat and/or dark to me.

Nice scene, but as Andy has mentioned, it does look very flat.

Rather like that Alex. The muted colours suit the scene in my view

Thanks all for your comments. I hadn't really considered it flat, but now you say it, I see what you mean. I had been trying for a slightly 'painted' look, to evoke an image of a classic painting of gondolas in Venice, but I'll go back to it and see if I can lift it a touch.

I like the composition of this Alex but as others have said, it could sing a bit more. If you have access to Auroa I would process with that, that will bring it to life, in my opinion.

Thanks, Patrick. I did originally process it in Aurora but clearly was too timid and had just accepted one of the 'Realistic' presets. Note to self: be bold!

Colours are much better, maybe up the mid tones & shadows?
