    Looking up hurts my neck

But I always do try and look above not just in building such as this (York Minster) but on high Streets in towns and cities. At least that way you see above the usual corporate shop frontages. This is another unprocessed image from 2013. I've done my usual processing in Lightroom with a slight crop off the right side to hopefully get some balance to the image.
A bit of time spent looking at the images choosing one to process, so worthwhile time spent resurrecting the folder, well I think so. How about you?

It's a good view and well balanced. But for me the much darker left side upsets it

Hadn't actually noticed it till I read your post but you're right, upsets the symmetry, I'm sure it can be 'fixed'?

but why would you fix it Patrick ? if you look the ceilings are different. I'm all up for getting the symmetry right in a shot (if I can ) or cleaning around ugly things that do spoil a photo but when its the texture of the ceiling I wouldn't change that

Lovely image, Peter, and takes one a while to get it sorted in the head, which is a good thing because it is worth the effort. I'm not bothered by any lack of symmetry due to colour variations, in a way it just adds to the interest.

Nice image I can see why some people may not like the darker left side but for me it is how it is in real life I wouldn't change it

I've arranged for a painting contractor to give the left side ceiling a coat of brilliant white Matt emulsion [emoji86][emoji87][emoji85]
