    Spynie Loch

A quiet, tranquil little loch close to home, and a favourite with photographers and bird watchers.

Lovely image and like how you have captured the person on the left. Makes the story for me.

Lovely shot, what a great place, funnily enough I disagree with Tom, I think the person in the pink coat detracts from the image.

I do like this Alan, good composition and colours lovely image. I zoomed in and it seems that there's two people but the red coat makes one of them more noticeable.

          Thanks everyone.
It was actually a small group meeting of local photographers and the 2 ladies had just come out of the hide. So, for a record of the evening, I took this shot with them both in it.
I'm still not sure whether they add or detract . . and your views are also mixed.

Really nice image and in this case think the red/pink coat does detract from the image as its so strong.

I would prefer it without the person

Lovely image. Unusually for me, I like the people in it. Without them, it would still be a cracking image, but since they are there I think they make the image just something slightly different and helps put the viewer into the scene. My one slight suggestion, and it is a particular bug bear of mine because I suffer from it quite a lot, is that when you zoom in to see what the ladies are up to, the chromatic aberration from shooting into the light becomes obvious; I would tidy that up.

                  Thanks gentlemen.
OK Stan, I've removed both ladies, any better ?

Thanks Alex, I've just noticed the CA when doing the edit above.
                    I'll have another go.

Second version is weaker. The presence of the figures in the original adds a narrative element. Without them it's just ABS - albeit a good one...

Hmmm at first I was all for the ladies. But now seen your edited version and I like without too. So, to recap, either for me
