    Rusty's old mate

I'm Rusty's old mate and my name is Springflower,

I suspect that this Cobble would probably take less work to put right than Rusty. Having walked about six miles on the day I felt more wrecked than this Cobble and the tractor look

I like that a lot too (be prepared for calls for a mono version though )

In addition to rusty bits of metal I like old wooden boats too and have even restored a couple. This one doesn't look too bad but I notice it's registration number has been painted out so no longer a working boat but, who knows, maybe someone will take its restoration on.

Note the ropes for pulling up the beach by the tractor stern first and the flat transom which the tractor (probably using old tyres as a cushion) would push against for the launch. Yes, the coble and tractor are linked and, sadly, so seems their shared demise.

      Cheers,
      John

          Re: Rusty's old mate

Thanks, Ian, John and Stan, glead you like this one, a nice subject to frame up, with the bonus that it didn't move at all, unlike those sea birds at Bempton
I have some others of this little spot but the beach had a number of families and quite a lot of seaweed at the tide marks, so I went for long exposures hopefully to lessen the impact of the people and pets. I find it easier to exorcise ghosts as opposed to real people but I'm ruminating on whether to process them or not.

Very well composed Peter and should remain as colour, in this instance

Nice image Peter, the only thing is that I fell it needs a bit more room on the left.

Thanks Tom, I probably have some real estate on the left on the Raw file I'll have a look at your suggestion

                    Thats another great find.
                    I like that image.

Again it looks like there are good options for other shots such as wide angle, lower viewpoint and long exposure etc.
