Dawn at Lake Louise AB Canada

IMG_7062 by John Ennis, on Flickr

Unfortunately not a lot of colour in the sky at 05:00, but at least the tourists had not woken up yet. Within an hour it was getting busy again for the day.

    Thanks for looking, John

Very nice John, only stayed during the winter (skiing) so never seen it like this.

Looks beautiful, we never got to the lake because it was so busy the police had closed the road off to the carpark & even the overflow was totally full but I do wished we had seen it.

It does get ridiculously overcrowded. We were staying very close by so an early pre dawn trip was required. However it did not stay quiet for long.

Had the pleasure of staying at the chateau one new year, even then there were coach loads of tourists.

Also experienced lowest temperatures I've seen - 42, spent day in the bar.

I like the scene but would prefer it without the rocks which are a bit too dominant

Well captured John, great scene, foreground rocks are a matter of taste I think. In your shoes I would have probably attempted to capture the scene with and without them. As it is the rocks are part of the scene as they are visible bellow the water as well
