They are difficult birds to photograph. I would be tempted to crop quite a bit of the sea away, whilst still leaving it looking like an outcrop (excuse the semi-pun). I would also be tempted to lift the shadows a bit to see if I could get more detail on the birds.

The lifted shot is better Nat but I think you have perhaps gone a tad too far as it's now lacking a little contrastAlan.
