I wasn't sure if the time was right and didn't want to waste a journey so e mail them yesterday and got the reply that the gardens now at their best and the head gardener advised a visit soonest before the frostswith a message to us all: If we want those autumn shots get out there soon!Comment

Coincidentally (or maybe not) there was a little piece on the radio this morning saying how the autumn colours are particularly good this year after the weather conditions we have had through the summer. Stourhead was specifically mentioned, and my first thought was whether you would be popping along. And you did. And with a lovely image to show for it.
