    The Beech Avenue revisited

You may remember this is part of the Kingston Lacy Estate and I posted a shot from a couple of weeks back.

This week I had an e mail from Kingston Lacy to say that the colours along the avenue were now at their best so would I go out and get some shots.

    Here is an example

      Re: The Beech Avenue revisited

The Estate was correct- beautiful colours!

Your angle shows the avenue in all its glory- mind you I think there were calls for you to stand in the middle of the road last time. Shouldn't be too hazardous................

        thanks for looking

is this what you were thinking of this is a different part of the avenue where I could see the traffic in both directions. Quickly positioned the tripod in the middle of the road and set the two second timer which enabled me to keep and eye out in both directions to make a quick exit should anything suddenly appear. No time of course to fine tune the composition

Hmm. Thanks. I prefer the side of the road shot now you've given me the option!

                Re: The Beech Avenue revisited

Thanks guys. The second shot was only posted in response to Bo's comment. Yes although I shot from the middle of the road there was no way I was going to look through the viewfinder to get the perfect composition, I needed to be aware of the road to ensure no traffic was coming

Lovely colour, Stan, but also great positioning to get the trunks lined up so well.
