    Re: Hermitage

Yet another great image. Did you go to Russia because of the photography or was that just an added bonus?

Great image with a wonderful sky - you've made great use of the light. When I was there it was constant drizzle and grey grey grey.

I've liked each of the images from your trip - definitely a country with great photo opportunities. I've only spent a few days in Moscow and that was many years ago when photographers were probably less appreciated! My recollection is of a neglected infrastructure with two very different facades but I was there on business and had no chance to wander the sights. I would love to revisit though and explore some of the main locations via train.

I had about an hour of blue sky in 7 days and during that time was able to get a taxi between a few locations - the rest of the time grey yuck yuck !! - glad you liked the shot Alex

cheers - its a place you need to live in to get decent shots as you could never do a trip relying on weather as I was awful - I'd love to spend time there as the photo opportunities are vast but it does seem to be grey most of the time

A nicely processed image of a very interesting building It is sharp throughout its entire length isn't it? I tried pixel peeping on Flickr but it's a tad too small for close examination but I am quite prepared to blame my computer prescription glasses

                Cheers,

Yes another great shot mate.. The blue tones really add to the feel of the shot, now where is a big jumper

I was drawn to the humble word 'hermitage' but saw the opposite, good capture
