                  Thank you all for the compliments but as I said above I think a lot of the credit should go to the lens (EF 16-35 F4L) which does seem to give a different "feel" to some of the images. I can not be sure whether this is due to the wide angle or to some interesting optical fact

                  If anyone is a fan of Jane Austen she also liked this particular view "with the very beautiful line of cliffs stretching out to the east of the town, are what the stranger's eye will seek; and a very strange stranger it must be, who does not see charms in the immediate environs of Lyme, to make him wish to know it better. "

                    No, Roger, there is a lot of credit for you to take. You had the lens in your bag, you were there at the right time, you chose to use that lens, you selected a lovely composition with the far cliffs framed by the rainbow, your settings have given depth of field throughout the scene and you have processed it sensitively.
