    The Scallop - different views

Whilst the straight on view is the one most people shoot and I think the one that works best, I did try out the alternatives, shooting from the left and the right

Both very nice and good to see it from another perspective. How did you manage to get it so devoid of people, or have you been at the cloning tool again?!

the shots were taken around 5 pm and surprisingly the car park was nearly empty apart from another couple with a child who were just looking - They "looked"for about 5 minutes and then went on their way and then there was no one else around all the time we were shooting

Think I prefer the original 'standard' image Stan but the last one runs it close.

I might be trying to analyse too hard....but I suggest the second one works better as the triangle shape of the sea in the background goes narrow to wide in the same direction as we read from left to right across the page...if you get what I mean?

                            thanks Brian

Hadn't thought of that but makes a lot of sense and in composition triangles are always good and to an extent the scallop forms a triangle as well
