    Kirkstone Pass

    The Kirkstone Pass from Ambleside to Ullswater took us a while; simply because you have to keep stopping the admire the views.

    Super landscape Tony ....good clarity in the foreground and great colours.....I'm going to have to go there again soon if you keep posting these excellent images.

                        Excellent image that betrays the steepness of it all..

                        Well without the weather you would be looking at some very deep valleys and Manchester would be without their water supply, no bad thing there then
                        I have asked my sister when I am cremated to cast my ashes into the Thirlemere, thus ensuring everyone in Manchester gets the chance of a part of me

                        Is it your first time visit Tony? You have been lucky with the weather.

                              It was our second trip Tony. We had a couple of nights up there last year but this was the first opportunity to explore properly. The book Photographing the Lake District (Fotovue Photographing Guide) by Stuart Holmes was an excellent guide.
