    Tralle Beach, Scotland

Taken 2 mornings ago, a brief spell of sunshine in between the rain! Used a ND Grad, Warm up and Polariser on the kit lens (18-55mm non IS). C&C v welcome - more honest the better!

Any thoughts on this one? As with my other Scottish shots just looking for feedback, good or bad!

It doesn't appear to be very sharp.
      Nice location all the same.

Cheers Sam for commenting, I felt the same way (maybe too many filters?!?!).

It was a nice location, shame this was the only day I could get a sunrise -god awful weather the rest of the time!

Definitly looks soft throughout the image.

Could be the mass of filtration or a slow shutter speed and camera shake to blame.

          Any shooting info available?

Polariser loose a couple of stops, ND grad a little more, early morning low light I would think you were shooting at a very slow shutter speed

The colours look a little strange as well

Would really like to see this bigger Rob, was it windy at the time of the shot as some parts look sharp? Coming from you I don't think it will be camera shake

              Cheers Alex!

Here is a link to a larger version in the same set - might have been a better one to post but hey ho!

The larger version does look a lot sharper. I find the 18-55 is not brilliant when the sun in front of the lens, seems to affect the focus.

                Good one Rob

Looks like the foreground is sharper than the background. What aperture and what was the focus point?

                  Almost a cracker :)

I like this without getting technical about it -- images sometimes just work, and this makes me want to step in and take my time walking along the beach. It's an inviting, uncomplicated shot.

That is very kind of you to say so - it was a lovely morning and I had been up for a few hours already!
