    Saltburn

Called in for a while on my way back from visiting folk up North.

I've taken the iconic Saltburn pier many times in past, and I wanted to try something slightly different by making the pier a component part of the composition rather than be the main subject.

Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga
Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography- George Eastman

Do like them all, number one is my fave, but (and this is just me. ) would be tempted to clone out the blue notice on the door.

Nice set Les. No.1 clinches it for me.

#3 for me as I am a sucker for night photography with "lots of action".... smoke, steam and light from the chimney stack.

#1 I like but there is just something, not sure what, that makes it look a bit like the perfect model and not the real thing. It is not the creamy look to the water, it is the "sharpness" of the shed and the hand rails that just catch my eye the wrong way...if that makes sense.

#2 is also a great shot taken in what Colin C calls the "blue hour".

There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!
