Laurie, IMHO 2 very nice shots.

In #1 I would probably crop the top whispy bit of cloud out and move the sun up the image a little, there are 2 reasons for that, firstly that is what I can see on my monitor as the image is too big to view it all at once on my setup and secondly I feel that it balances better that way.

Again I don't know if it is my monitor or possibly the upload process but #2 looks a little noisy to me.

Yes, the ballance of both photo's should get better if you crop some more. I would crop some of the bottom. And maybe I would crop the lovers. But on the other hand they give the photo something than a sunset.

I don't find no 2 noisy, i have a laptop screen.
