Re: Panoramic Whitby
Raj, not bad first attempt.
You might want to have a look in the Software section, as there is a recent thread about FREE (Microsoft ICE) software for stitching. It handles it better than the supplied software with your camera, and blends the joins better as well! I've been quite impressed!
All the best, Mike.flickr

Re: Panoramic Whitby
Thanks Mike, All the photo were handheld and manual exposure.
I have seen your post with regard to Microsoft ICE, very easy to use. This one is done using the standard Photoshop only because i use Mac and i already have the Ps on Mac. I will have to try the ICE on the same shot and compare it to see what difference it make.
If there is someone who has already done this can feedback.Raj

Nice first pano by the way.
I can't remember what pram I had as a child but it certainly would not have been a Silver Cross in the days after the war with poor parents - my father was an NCO in the army and mothers didn't work on overseas postingsef-r

Re: Panoramic Whitby
A tripod is important but the main thing you need to do is ensure the exposure is the same for each shot otherwise as has happened here you get different tones appearing across the sky
Set the camera to Av mode and choose your aperture, then take a reading of the shutter speed. Switch to manual mode and transfer the shutter speed and aperture then take your shots
