    West Stonesdale, North Yorkshire.

The road heading North through Stonesdale runs between the B6270 near Keld and a road (not numbered) called "Long Causeway" at Tan Hill. These two images are hand held panoramas. Part of the long distance walk The Pennine Way walk crosses the high ground you can see in theses two images.

Rather than posting larger images in the panorama section of the forum I decided to post these two in the Landscape section, hopefully they are of a reasonable size for viewing here. Should anyone want to see the larger versions I have uploaded them to the Panorama gallery of my website, feel free to have a look at them there.

Interestingly, there was a TV program on recently with the two of the Judges (Bruno and Craig) from "Strictly Come Prancing" driving a Mini through the dales including Stonesdale and stopping at the Tan Hill Inn for a barbecue.

#1 A farmhouse on the high ground at the left of this image, with what I would refer to as field barns lower down the hillside. However I believe that the local farmers call them "Cow' Us" (Cow House)

#2 This image was taken a little further North than #1 above, you can spot the farmhouse that I made reference to in the first image at the top right side of this image. With quite a few more of the Cow' Us on the higher ground.

Two lovely images Peter, have walked a lot of the Pennine Way, wonderful countryside. The Cowuss are such characteristic little buildings, a photographic subject in their own right.
