Good to see some NZ scenery, water looks a bit rough though and a bit of weather coming in. I think a slightly wider view for the first pic would give a better perspective, the headland is a bit too close to the edge of the pic.

I have friends who live in Sumner it is in a lovely part of NZ. I agree with Ian ^ your choice of composition is too tight in the first image. The sky in the second image is great

Two nice images, agree the first is a bit tight but I love the sea. The sea and sky in the second is great - like itTrev
