    Admiral Von Tromp

I've been looking through some archived images and came across a set of this 1976 wreck of the Admiral Von Tromp. Hopefully I haven't posted this on here previously, apologies if I have.

The vessel had left Scarborough in the early hours of the morning heading for the fishing ground NNE of Whitby. Sadly two of the crew lost their lives when the vessel hit the rocks, two RNLI lifeboat crew were awarded medals for their actions during the rescue of the remaining crew.

I like the golden light on this especially where it hits the wreck.

Thanks everyone for taking time to look and comment. It's a while since I visited this wreck, timing can be tricky as the position of the wreck gives a false sense of security. On an incoming tide the wreck site floods later than the way back to the beach.

What a beautiful shot. I like the long exposure use. It’s given the water around the wreck a slight misty, eerie feel, despite the bright light. A really interesting, eye catching picture
