Second Highest Point (accesible by road) on Madeira

I had a bit of an early start yesterday morning. up a daft o-clock, picked up at 05:50 to have a trip to Pico do Arieiro. The peak is around 1800 metres above sea level, with a Radar Station (Ray Dome) sited on it. I was surprised at the number of people who had made the trip up there to view the sunrise. It was an amazing sight to see especially when it became light enough to see the number of people who where scattered around the mountain side.

I hope these images look OK as I'm currently using a laptop with a fairly small screen, so apologies if they are rubbish!

As always your thoughts and comments welcomed.

    1. Pre sunrise, with lights of a village below. There was a Drone being flown around the area which maybe in either of these two images, I cant see it on this small screen.

    2. The sun rising above the clouds.

Thanks everyone, it was certainly a sight to behold. I've quite a number of additional images that I'll wait until I get home to look at and finalise.
