I suspect this would be very good as a large print when the colours really come through.

It would have been nice with more reflection of the sky in the water

I think it's lovely. Where was it taken? Near where you live?

Thanks for all your kind comments.

Briansquib: Yes more lake and reflection would have been good, but as you can just make out in the bottom right, bank side vegetation was starting to creep into the bottom of the shot. I tried a longer focal length concentrating more on the house and the lake, but then I was sacrificing much of that spectacular sky, for what was a fairly poor reflection coming off the lakes choppy surface.

Mazzie: This was taken at a lake in Cheshire where I often spend the weekend fishing. It is about an hour drive from my home.

Hi Paul this was taken with my 450D using a cheapo Tamron 55-200mm DI11LD Macro, 1/160, f5.6, ISO 200, 70mm focal length.

Very nice shot, for me that would be a wallhanger.

I'm another that thinks it would look quite something on a large print.

Nice image. Is that a dust bunny on the second?

LOL I lifted the 2nd image from my memory card just as an example. I didn't see that until the pic was posted up on here. No it is not a dust bunny. That is unless dust bunnies fly around the top of nettles at dusk?

Hi Andy, lovely work. I like both and yes like the extra water in the second. That said you have captured a lovely sky in #1 Thanks for sharing.
