Works for me Brian - lovely bokeh and fine detail.

It looks a good pic to me Brian, I can’t see any issues with the processing. Nice detail and a good background

Lovely image Brian, id say it's perfect as it!
I'm interested to know why you think you might have overdone it though?

Here is the original...is it better than the edit?

Both are good to be honest, but the edit is better in my opinion. You can see the fern catching the sunlight more, especially on the lower half of the stem.

Prefer the original, more of a autumnal feel to it that no doubt portrayed the moment of time.
However both are good Brian, it’s just me who hardly ever edits a picture - what I see, is what I take, is what you get.

I am with Trev on this one, I would be happy with having taken the original and it would have got the same “well done Brian” comments.

Thanks All. I was happy with the original…but wanted to experiment. I think the original would be a bit dull on the wall but I like the natural look.

Both great images Brian but in my opinion the edit has more impact.

Given the choice I'd have to go with the edit, the original is a little flat while the edit enhances the lighting on the fern to the pictorial advantage.
