    Cauldron Force 3

    I hunted for one with a bit more of the waterfall/water, as requested, but failed. I was concentrating too much, maybe, on the foreground.

    This was taken with the 24-105L and the dark areas do not seem to exhibit the noise the original post suffered from. I think this is more to do with the exposure than the type of lens. I have tried googling canon 7D long exposure noise but couldn't find anything - advice welcome.

    Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one.

        Hi Graydon.

        Yep, I like that one. There's something about the sharpness of the rocks, and the blurring of the water that does it for me, but I don't know why! For me, it's better than the first one, and as you say, doesn't have the darker areas with little detail.

                Hi Graydon, really nice image I agree with Mike, the movement in the water and the sharpness in the foreground really works well to give the image great depth.
