Wow! Really strong images Paul. Though I'm sure that after just two attempts at this, it would have been just as wet inside!

What was your methodology? Naturally great timing, or electronic assistance?

Cheers Dave. I was under strict orders that everything had to be cleared / mopped up when I had finished

I had a bar accross the the kitchen worktops (only a small kitchen) and hung the balloon using string I also placed a black background behind it.
Needle on a thin stck so it was easy to remove in photoshop and remote shutter release in the other hand pressing the shutter button at the same time as popping the balloon and hoping I got it right

People spend hundreds of pounds on electronic equipment to do that and with a bit of anticipation and timing, you get results straight away and with only four shots in total? Amazing!

                    Thanks Garry and Colin.

Colin - I didn't know you could get electronic equipment to do this I thought this was the way everyone did it.

Thanks Andy I actually got the idea from watching the tv programme "Reflex" that was on last night where they had to pop balloons in the right sequence in the quickest time and it was showed in slow motion and thought that it would be fun to try and capture it with my camera next time I will try and time it to get more of the balloon in the shot.

Wonderful images Paul and great Blue Peter spirit. It's amazing what skill and ingenuity can achieve.
I'd never get away with those at home, so would you mind if I popped around to yours next weekend to give it a go?
