Experimental Flower Shot

I attended this years Scottish Photography Fair at Battleby in Perthshire.
Niall Benvie was there giving a display on shooting against a white background
As the weather here in Aberdeen is pretty miserable today I decided to have a go.
Also first shots with my new 7D

The flower was placed in front of a flashlit softbox and lit from the front with a 580 EXII

I like these Mike.
The glass holding the flower spoils it a little though.
You could make some nice Birthday cards using these images.

Very nice. Did you use differnt power on the softbox and the 580 flash?

Great floral images Mike.
try the lilly photo with just a tad of saturation that would give it a bit of punch.
