    Church Rooftop

Just went for the rooftops so that I could get some of the mounting in behind - think it works, interested to hear views ?

Nicely composed Ian. Like how you were able to capture the bell in the tower and how you included the mountain as a backdrop for the scene. Also a very pretty sky that sets it all off nicely. My only suggestion would be to darken the toning in the back ground .

      Re: Church Rooftop

cheers Tom - It took me a few attempts before I could find a decent viewpoint on the church - not easy in these little villages

I'll have a look at the edit but I didn't want to darken the background as I didn't want to loose the buildings - but I'll have a look anyways

            Excellent shot

I might have cropped so just the rooftops are showing at the bottom of the frame

Saw this first on Flickr and it looks much crisper on there. What is that blur/flare on the right hand side level with the roof line? Is it smoke or something similar?

think thats the case with most images here !! -

the blue haze is smoke as the valley you can see behind all all grape vines and after harvesting the grapes they are cut right back - the next valley along is Almond trees and they will be coming into blossom soon so keeping eye open on the local FB groups for people saying when its out as its really pretty

I love the roof tiles they use on the continent, always makes for a nice photo. Like the rate of detail in this one Ian, a bit of HDR going on?

I wasn't saying this one looks rough, just that I saw it on Flickr before seeing your posting here.

                        Re: Church Rooftop

making for nice photos is about the only use those tiles are!! as they are decorative only as under them is a big slab on concrete

it is an HDR image Andrew as I wanted to pull the detail from the building and the clouds - in fact this one is a in camera HDR image and processed in LR & PS

Yes its the concrete that allows the low pitch which adds to the interest, or at least different perspective that always reminds me of warm holidays!!
