Shot taken last year. It was a very warm yet misty morning in Venice and despite the warm weather there was hardly anybody about - in fact trade was that poor this chap decided it was time for a Cat Nap !!

Thanks John - it's an amazing place, a photographers dream come true, but it's best to go outside the main tourist season ( or the festival season) as it's absolutely heaving at those times ! There is so much to see and do within a very concentrated space that you can't fail to enjoy yourself.

yes James I will have to be very careful on when to go. It seems there's a photo opportunity around every corner, and I can't wait for the chance to see it.

I'm looking at heading to Venice in February for the mask festival week - I know its going to be busy and it will be street work I'll be doing other than landscape - should be interesting

I went to Italy two years ago but no where near Venice, would love to go back.
