seems to be very little interest in landscape work here anymore, most of the landscape guys have moved on

            Re: yep another sunset

I like this a lot. Particularly the sky and water but I think the building lets it down a little bit just because it's in shadow and is such a major part of the shot. If you could lift it (the building or maybe the lights in it) a bit I think the shot would be really great.

thanks for the feedback Wayne - I'll be interested to hear what others think as I quite liked the building the way it is, if I do lift the shadows its not really doing much to the building - the only way would be to lighten the building, also there are no lights on the building and probably the reason it looks a tad lost....that shot with lights on needs to be processed yet

                Very peaceful...

Not sure if a it's a flickr effect but there's some odd halos around the building and it's reflection...

                  thanks Nigel

I'm not seeing halos around the building and I zoomed right into the original in LR , but the water is looking odd and I nearly cloned it out, but if you look its just an odd effect thats in places across the river, not sure what is is

Well composed and processed Ian. The image gives you the sense of beauty and calm that a beautiful sunset gives as you look at It in awe.

That's a cracking shot Ian. For me the building is right as it is, nothing needs doing to lift it.

Wish it was in my LR catalogue
