The weather yet again awful, although its pretty clear when taking photos around the Pyrenees its something to have to get used to, that and getting wet

Made the shot a little more moody in PP

but perhaps shooting a little more to the left to include more of the wall on the left and pushing the church over to the right third

cheers Stan - I did consider that and I'm pretty sure took it, but I liked the drop you could see on the side of the church and by moving over you loose that.

But I'm sure when I'm scratching around trying to find something to process after a summer at home it will get processed :O)

          thanks for the feedback Stan

Nice one - good composition, like the low perspective, the sky and the balance of the green on the right.

thanks Tony, Stans comment made me think for a while, but I liked seeing the grass and the side of the church

I like it as it is Ian - but it would be interesting to see the alternative if you stumble across it.

If you flipped it on the vertical axis you would have the drop, off to the left (sinister), and the high ground to the right (dexter), very symbolic of the struggle between good and evil

TBH Ian there will be many different variations that are pleasing to the eye. Yes there are the rules (thirds etc) but they are also there to be broken. After the recent trip to Scotney Castle, in terms of POV, crop etc I had many very similar images and it is very difficult in choosing the best as it is such a personal thing. I just put a very heavy vignette around the Scotney water shot to use it as a desk top background (so the icons can stand out) and it's a cracking variation, again IMO. So, go with what you think is right. Critique and suggested improvements from the forum are invaluable and there for you to consider and try but at the end of the day it's your shot and it has to look right for you.
