The Spanish do enjoy there festivals Stan and know how to party, but one of things I enjoy most about them is no restrictions they just walk down the road ... Yep Ant considering they are only used once a year and each year knew ones come in - this parade took 3 hrs with each costume having its own band

Very nice set Ian I hope that horse wasn't pulling a wheelie 'cos someone fired a flash at it

It's our town carnival tonight and No. 2 grandson is in it with the scouts. His costume comprises of hi-viz vest, ear defenders and two table tennis bats so we Brits don't approach carnivals in quite the same way!

LOL nope John the jumping horse was doing some pretty impressive tricks so was well used to it - I was just annoyed I missed the guy looking my way ...

hi-viz vest, ear defenders and two table tennis bats, all sadly means less fun..

I saw some slightly strange parade/religious festival stuff in the Azores, not as colourful as this though. Does make you wonder about the origins of these celebrations.

Ant, this is the Moors & Christians, hence the blacked faces, very PC LOL - all week we have mock battles with Moors rading the coastline and battles in the old town, they even built a small castle so they can invade it
