    Conwy

Led a few on a 13 mile walk starting at Conwy and ending in Llandudno on a quiet nice day. There was a pirate do on at Conwy and our street togs would have been in their element. Real cannon fire (not balls!).

    1. Pirate Ship

A confession - this and a few other early snaps taken at 800 ISO. I'd committed sin #1. Not left my camera with default setting on its last outing. Consider my wrists slapped.

    2. The castle and the three bridges

    3. Small lake

    4. View West from Conwy Mountain

    5. View over the Harbour

Better in letterbox format I wonder??

    6 The Route

Conwy, west (north) then back east south) to Conwy and on to Llandudno

My 40D and 17-40L as usual.

Feel free to report narrative and technical blunders.

    Thanks for looking.

All great and the usual Monday Morning Fix high standard which seems to get higher each week.

    #3 & #4 get my vote.

#3 for the foreground with the rocks and the stones beneath the water. I like the tips of the long grass (reeds) across the bottom, however, I suspect some will not like these.
#4 for the stone wall then the path and finally the rocky dry stream bed taking down through the "V" of the valley and into the scene itself with the valley sides holding you in the image through to the buildings in the distance with the row of trees taking me to the right making me feel I want to see around the corner of the right hand valley wall.
#5 yes agree that a letterbox crop for this one

        Re: Conwy

I look forward to these every Monday and I am not disappointed.
Is that ship known as a "clipper"?
A great view of Conwy castle and hardly any cars.
Another great set, thanks for sharing with us.

All good stuff as usual and I am also struggling for a favourite. Debating between #1 and #3....................on second thoughts I'll plump for #6.

                Well thanks everyone.

We don't walk near the coast very often ... so this was a nice change. The Pirate event had attracted a few white lenses and also some Nikon pro grade DSLRs.

Those Cannon were loud ... but a nice smell.
