Car Photoshoot locations

Hi Everybody,

I was wondering if anybody knew any good locations for a multiple vehicle photoshoot.

I'm looking to take some portable lights and shoot some shots of an RS Audi Owners group (performance cars like RS6s, RS4s, TTs, etc), but I'm looking for somewhere interesting to do the shoot.

I was thinking about RAF bases and having aircraft in the background (depending on permissions, etc) or industrial sites with chimneys, etc.

Distance isn't too much of an issue at the moment.

Any ideas anyone?

I can think of several places (having lived/visited quite a few parts of the UK), but I think it will depend on where you are. You said travel isn't a problem, but I should think there's a limit. Where are you?

Hi

Raf bases and the like might prove difficult, we recently participated in a track day at an air force base and they would not let us take pictures or videos of anything, cars included.

Acces was a nightmare too, passports and id checks weeks prior to the day.

What about Bruntingthorpe, it is fairly central in the UK and will probably be able to cater for you.

Hi,
Try contacting the Shuttleworth Collection, it's a rural setting grass airfield with good backdrops. Classic Bike did a shoot there a few weeks back and the Collection placed a couple of aircraft out on the airfield for the shoot.

I've emailed both about how much to hire an empty hanger or runway for the morning, so we shall see. :-)

Yes I've done a couple of photo shoots at the Shuttleworth Collection, the last one being back in February this year with some of the Collections aircraft and historic cars out in the snow.
