    Macclesfield Forest

Did a 12 mile stroll around Cheshire (Tegg's Nose & Gritstone trails) on a perfect day (sun, calm and a slight chill). Some nice views of the Cheshire Plain (although some of it was in fog). We were on the western extent of the Peak District National Park.

    1. Duck House - on Expenses?

Difficult to know what was horizontal ... so I assumed the Duck House.

2.Tegg's Nose (1247') and Bottoms Reservoir

Did Tegg's Nose a few years ago.

    3. Shutlingsloe TP (1660')

Sometimes described as the 'Matterhorn of Cheshire', it is the third highest peak in Cheshire.

    4. ... and this is why

    5. Walkers shadows (and my shadow which must prove something!)

I know I should leave the arty stuff to the experts!!

    6. The Route

    40D plus 17-40L as usual.

Feel free to report narrative or technical plunders.

    Thanks for stop by.

Well done MX5. You make me faint with your physical prowess & endurance. Nice pics. I was a bit confused with the duck pond until you explained the horizontals and verticals. Yes, I was a bit confused. I know Maccy rather well as my daughter lives there and works in London!!!!!

Looks like the size of duck house that my expenses would still not cover
Cracking day and great captures as always. Must have a go at the Cheshire Matterhorn one day.

          Thanks Nat, Tom and Scott.

Nat - I think I took the photo [Duck House] at an awkward angle.

Actually the house [with that pond] was a splendid affair ... just the job for an MP what likes ducks

              Nice shots MX,

I really like Number 2, the Wall from the left looks just right, three aspects to the shot, the water, the hill and the sky all add up to a lovely picture with good colours.

              Regards Paul

There's something supernatural about that shadow ... still it stops some rumours that I don't cast a shadow
