    Keswick (via Latrigg)

Sorry for delay ... usual technical problems with '503'.

Did a 6 mile dash (2 hours) to Keswick as we had a booking at an inn for our Christmas Meal. So selected an easy route. Coach dropped up off near Threlkeld. A dull & Very windy day. Some severe gusts above 1000'. Overnight snow visible in many places above 2000'.

So not much photography I'm afraid.

    1. Start of walk (having briefing walked from the A66 lay-by. The River Greta with a bridge from the railway (part of the 31.5 mile Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway (CK&PR)) which closed as recently as 1972 and rumours persist that the Penrith - Keswick section may one day reopen. Blencathra is behind.

    3. A Study in Pink (the subtle restrained colours caught my eye)

Feel free to report any narrative or technical blunders.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy Christmas to those that celebrate, and thanks to all who have looked at my adventures.

          Thanks AndyA, Muscat and Stephen

Andy - Hard to believe it was taken at 16:36 on Sunday ... As you can see Keswick was rather quiet! (#4 was taken just a few minutes prior to this).

Good set MX, interesting choice of shop colour, you need to be brave to do that. The Town Square was very quiet!!
