    River Brathay in Flood

Ambleside has took a battering over the last 2 months with all the rain, on our way back near clappersgate took a shot of the river which has swollen to 5 times its normal size another metre height in water level and the main Coniston to Ambleside Road will be cut off.

Looking at the clouds it looks like it's still raining.
          Nice image.

A lovely image, made even better for me by the lousy weather /clouds.. Great shot Sir.

I like this. The best thing about bad weather, is that sometimes you can get some spectacular clouds.

Edit: Did you use an on camera filter?

Andy, always use a B + W graduated filter when there its lots of cloud, the filter appears to be permanently fixed to the lens at the moment due to the long, long absence of blue sky up here in the North, 1 good day in 8 at the moment.

Like how you've got the mist/clouds closing in over the hills.
