That really is lovely Andy. Place to rush to when it snows to get a good snow shot.

Good thought Colin but...it's not the easiest place to get to in the snow.

I do like the image Andy 👍

I watched a thatcher working on this property a couple of years ago. I must see if I have an image or two.

It may look a little different to this one, mine has had the wheelie bins, roadside water and electric signs and phone line removed. ;)

Nicely done Andy any chance you could show us the shot before the removal of the bin and signs etc.

Missed that when I was up that way ... but after Helmsley went onto Sutton Bank and Kilburn (The Mouseman). I'll have to look for it next time.

              Nice photo.

I've had a look at the large image on Flickr and can't see where you've removed anything. So good (sorry typo) work on both counts Andy, shooting and editing.

Perhaps we could have a competition, like "spot the ball".

Another good catch Andy, you must go back in Autumn though, I bet the colours behind the cottage will be superb and a bit of Golden Hour Sunlight on the Roof it will be a lovely shot.

Well done too on the Editing

That sounds like a good idea. :)

I think it might be quite interesting and also informative, for us to start a 'before and after' thread. A place to show our images, before and after editing. What do you folks think?

It would be useful, along with how long it took! and sharing your technique.

btw - the 'cricket ball' is on the hillside about 1/4 way in 1/2 down

OK here's the original image, before I removed some stuff. (I see that I missed some things now).

                          What did I remove?

That's excellent Andy, I love the way you have removed the unwanted bits did you just use a clone tool to clone over those bits?

+1 for the before and after thread, I think that would be an excellent way to keep learning.

Hi Chris, with this I used the spot healing brush (set to content aware) in CS5.
