    Gargrave to Malham

Did a 12.5 mile amble in North Yorkshire. Given the weather it was no surprise to find snow in gullies some of which was very deep, however what has surprised in the last couple of outings is how dry everything is becoming. But back to the snow ... we came across 10 dead ewes some definitely looked 'with lamb' ... I am assuming these came to light as the snow melted. You have to feel for the farmers ... if life wasn't tough enough already. However on the plus side there were many lambs and quite a good count of black ones.

Weather was grand. That easterly had gone and in the sun it was warm.

Have to say the rusty machine is my fave as well.

Went out in the car Sunday down some country lanes my Dad was with me, he was amazed at the snow still in the hedge bottoms and where the shadows where even here.

No 1 for me, yes you got lucky with Janets Foss, maybe there were nobody on the campsite down the lane.
