    Dent Dale Surrounding District

The weather forecast was reasonable so deciding to take Friday off from work and headed off to the Yorkshire Dales, not been to Dent Dale for a few years, still no sign of a proper spring at the moment.

Very nice set, 1 and 4 are my favourites.

Hope you didn't have to wait too long for a train to come along!

Great set. My fave is no1, great to have your eye led down the valley so smoothly.
But what on earth possessed the train company to use such a garish livery? I sort of like it as a modern twist in a traditional landscape, but it does stand out rather too much for me.

Nice set, I like the farmhouse one best, it looks just like it could have been seen in a James Herriot Film, also like the Station shot which I would have liked to have seen in B&W as well if possible.

                  Re: Dent Dale Surrounding District

Many thanks for the comments, I tried to put out a set with variety to suit all member tastes, the posiitive critique seems to have achieved that. All the images were taken within 11/2 mile of each other.
You can see the Dent Railway Station from the last image two thirds up on the right hand side, from the railway station 1/2 mile left down into the valley the first image was taken. The old barn was in the river bottom adjacent to some water cascades, most of the shots are best taken early to late morning, Yorkshire Dales is a great place when the shadows move across the landscape,
