It's only a couple of years since my boys were students at Bristol, and I thought I knew Whiteladies Road, but I don't remember the flowerbeds in the central reservation though. I do however recall the excessive number of speed cameras.

        Superb quality images though Tom

Thanks chaps. The flower beds are new Russell, I think the council had a bit of spare cash! Speed cameras are still there

I like the tree and bike shot. I do like how you have the post leading in and the tree as a mighty full stop. I'd be tempted to clone out the sign on the post as it draws the eye.

I see what you mean Dee, I'll deal with the sign, thanks. No.3 is one of my favourite shots of the afternoon.

It does look better with the signs on the lamppost airbrushed, thanks Dee.

Well Paul you will be as surprised as I am, they were all taken with 17-85! I have done a little sharpening and unmasking with a slight change in the contrast but that was all really.

I got mine fixed today. Can't say i'm all that impressed with it. You need to do a lot of post work on the images to get them up to scratch. Oh well :)

No I haven't fixed it yet, they were along with minimum focal length at 35mm. I was surprised with the quality too, and honestly I hadn't done much processing in Digital Camera Pro which came with the canon to get them this good. The only other difference was that I had a cross- polariser on the front.
