    Brixham Colour - 3

I was in Brixham this afternoon just as the sun started to go down casting a golden glow over the town and took another picture of 'Devon's Tobermorey' but from a different angle. I hope it's not too samey!

I think the orange reflected in the window of the white house bottom right must be a trawler tied up at the fish quay about a hundred feet below.

    Cheers,
    John

I do like the light and the shadows on the houses and what it does to their colours.

Needs a bit of fill light to lift the shadows and then a slight overall brighten, something like this - it is a bit soft as i have uploaded direct from my computer

Thanks to all for the comments, they're appreciated. I've just been back into DPP to try and lift detail from the shadows but the colour then gets a bit washed out. It's late now but will try again tomorrow.

          Cheers,
          John

Brixham is another of those good photography places. Its a place I like to visit when time allows.
Think your image shows some of the colour of the place well.

I don't use DPP at all - my edit was done with Adobe Camera Raw, which you can also use for jpegs and all I did was increase the "fill light" and then balanced it by increasing the vibrancy and clarity. Alternatively in photoshop or elements I could have used the shadows/highlights tool to lift the shadows and then a hue and saturation layer to make the colours vibrant again
