              Stan, every single image from each set is amazing I'm sure that you must have barricaded the door behind you to get the place so empty. Did they really not mind your tripod plonked in the middle of the aisle while they prepared for an event?

                  I'm sure that you must have barricaded the door behind you to get the place so empty.
                  there were surprisingly few people around apart from the obligatory Japanese tourists but it is never too busy during the week anyway

                  Did they really not mind your tripod plonked in the middle of the aisle while they prepared for an event?
                  no problem at all, we just avoided the areas as they were setting up

                    Much to my embarrassment I had to look up Quire, not a term I can recall hearing before. Then it all made sense as Wiki rescued me http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quire_(architecture).

                    Nice interior shots by the way. It must be 10 years since I last visited Salisbury.
