St Catherine's Lighthouse - Isle of Wight

Getting these images was one of the most stressful evenings of my holiday!
I had set of in good time, but the main road was closed due to a landslip and I got stuck behind a bus, this all conspired to make me get to the cliff top after the sun had set which was not what i wanted.
I was hoping for starburst sun images alongside the lighthouse tower.

Anyway, I tried to make the best of it and went for some landscaped and sunset images...

I took some from down at the cliffs edge, then moved up the hill to get some more.
Your comments and thoughts would be much appreciated.
    Andy

Thanks very much. I was initially really disappointed with the images, but fortunately the use of RAW files and Lightroom allowed me to recover some good detail.

I did try a HDR image but that's on hold until I've watched more tutorials as the end result was pretty poor.

Nice set Andy, but can you lose the large pole, and wires (imho) in the second shot. I think it would look a lot better than it aleady is , then.
                    [ Canon 1DX ] [ 70-200 f2.8 L is II ] [ 300 f4 L is usm ] [ 50 mm f1.8 II ] [ 24-105 f4 L is ] [ Speedlite 430 ] [Yongnuo 568 ex II flash ] [ Yongnuo flash triggers ] [ Cokin P filters] [ Giottos Silk Road GYTL8384 carbon tripod ] [ Photoshop CS5 ] ... Wish list Canon EF 500 mm f/4 L IS USM.

Some nice gear, but not much idea ... https://www.flickr.com/photos/123175589@N03/

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments.
I'll have a look at the pole and wires and see what is possible and how it looks.
