Red House is a National Trust property in SE London, that was commissioned by, jointly designed by and lived in (from 1860 to 1865) by artist, designer, poet and founder of the Arts & Crafts movement, William Morris. He intended it to be a rural idyll but the commute to the train station turned out to be too much, but of course it is now fully subsumed into suburbia. The National Trust only acquired it 10 years ago and it was in private hands for the intervening time, but it is very well preserved, albeit with only a few items of original furniture, but well worth a visit.
The sun was quite harsh when we visited, and there was obviously quite low lighting inside, so all 4 images here are double exposures (hand held) combined in PSE. And yes, there is wonkiness throughout, that's just the way it is.
