    Reflections on New Street

Have put up a couple of posts of the renewed New Street Station in Birmingham with the allied Grand Central shopping area. The whole complex is covered in shiny stainless steel panels which give some interesting reflections, but I think it needs someone with greater imagination and skill than me to make the best of it -

Looking down on some pedestrians -

A reflection of Birmingham's Post Office Tower in the side of the new John Lewis store -

    - and a wider shot of that -

    - and a closer shot of the bit in the top right of the last -

And this is a station - here is one of Mr Branson's Virgin Pendolinos from London pulling into its platform -

I'm not convinced by these steel panels - I think the distortion they produce is just too much...... Would be interested to see what others can make of them.

    7D + 24-105L.

    Cheers, Chris.
    Just chuggin' along.

I like them Chris especially the second image, I think if you cropped the top section out of it to give a square format would produce a very good abstract image.
