    Killerton House, Devon

SWMBO had a planning meeting to do with the Guild of Spinners, Dyers and Weavers at Killerton House (National Trust) in Devon on Sunday. I decided to act as chauffeur and take the opportunity to wander around the property while she had her meeting. I was blessed with a bright but cold morning and was as taken by this view (looking west towards Dartmoor) as was the man to whom the cross is dedicated, Sir Thomas Acland.

The house and grounds are certainly worth a visit.

nice shot, but its a shame the cross is in shadow, can you not lighten it? - this would be an ideal shot to bracket

      Nice picture.

I second your view that it's a nice place to visit. If you're a NT member heading for the Southwest it's not a bad lunch stop! Easily accessible from the M5

Ian - it already is! This is a 5-shot HDR, combined in LR - I could lighten up the cross I guess and I will have a look at that.

Oop's, problem I found the merge tools in LR quite limited, hopefully you can pull a little more from it

Ian - I have had a quick go at your suggestion - is this better, or have I overdone it?
